In the south of France, on the edge of Provence, the waters of the Rhône gently flow into the Mediterranean. The slow transition between river and sea characterises a unique stretch of land, the wetland of the Camargue. In addition to the wild white Camargue horses and pink flamingos, special animals are bred here: the black bulls, also known as taurins.

The Camargue is also known for its rice and salt crops.
